Physiotherapist Opportunity – Beaverbank Physiotherapy
Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia

Beaverbank Physiotherapy is the longest-established clinic in Lower Sackville, NS, with over 33 years of trusted service in our community. We are proud of our longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

As a teaching clinic, we maintain strong partnerships with Dalhousie University, mentoring Physiotherapy students as well as physiotherapists in the AIM program working toward their Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT). Our team is highly committed to continuing education, with many senior therapists holding FCAMPT designation.

Our Culture

We foster a supportive, collaborative environment that emphasizes professional growth and ongoing education. Our workplace is friendly, inclusive, and lighthearted—balancing a relaxed atmosphere with a shared commitment to clinical excellence. We value team members not only for their skills, but also for the positive energy and culture they help create. Clinic culture is very important to us as a team.

Our multidisciplinary team—including physiotherapists, massage therapists, athletic therapists, and orthopedic specialists—works together to manage complex cases and provide comprehensive care to patients referred from a variety of sources.

Our Facility

Our well-equipped clinic includes:

  • 10+ private treatment rooms with adjustable treatment tables
  • A fully outfitted gym with cardio equipment, squat rack, barbells, bumper plates, and free weights up to 40lbs
  • Supportive modalities and tools to enhance treatment efficiency
  • Modern testing equipment such as VALD force plates, strength dynamometry, speed gates (and trained athletic therapists to assist you in testing)
  • Dedicated administrative staff and physiotherapy assistants for every shift
  • On site office manager and clinic owner that is also an actively treating clinician

We also operate a satellite location within a local paddling club, featuring a 4000 sq. ft. gym for patients who benefit from a more fitness-focused rehabilitation approach, post operative care and return to sport focussed sessions and testing.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation
  • Health and dental benefits
  • In-house education, mentorship, and staff get togethers
  • Annual education allowance
  • Flexible scheduling and varied shifts
  • Strong referral network and consistent busy caseload
  • Marketing for you and your area of expertise

As a teaching clinic, we provide mentorship across multiple areas, including advanced assessment and treatment, manual therapy (FCAMPT/AIM), exercise prescription, and pelvic floor physiotherapy.

Caseload

Our caseload is diverse, consisting of approximately:

  • 80-85% private-pay clients
  • A smaller percentage of MVA, WCB, and DVA cases

We regularly treat athletes across various sports and maintain close partnerships with several local teams. Therapist caseloads consist mostly of post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and private pay orthopaedic conditions. We actively support therapists interested in developing niche or specialized areas of practice.

We are seeking a full-time Physiotherapist who is:

  • Team-oriented and personable
  • Motivated to grow through advanced education
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative environment
  • Self-driven and engaged

Experience in manual therapy and a busy clinic setting is an asset; however, we are happy to mentor candidates who are a strong cultural fit and eager to learn.
