Maritime Chiropractic & Wellness is currently seeking a physiotherapist. The successful candidate will join a team of chiropractors, massage therapists, a full-time physiotherapist, a kinesiologist and an office administrator.

Job Type: Part-time (20-30hrs/week)

Start Date: August 23rd, 2021 (start date negotiable)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3PM to 7PM (end time negotiable, possibility to work weekends)

Compensation: Competitive compensation as an independent contractor.

Experience: Experience an asset, but not necessary (new grads welcome)


  • A graduate of a recognized university Physiotherapy degree program
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (have obtained an independent “full” licence to practise)
  • Maintains current certification in CPR
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a team setting amongst other clinicians
  • Successful Applicants may be required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment
  • Experience and/or training with the following modalities is an asset but not a requirement:
    • Acupuncture/dry needling
    • Shockwave Therapy
    • Bioflex Laser Therapy


As a Physiotherapist, you are a key member of client care in an interdisciplinary team of clinical professionals. Maritime Chiropractic & Wellness is a multi-disciplinary facility that offers services in chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and kinesiology. Our clinic also offers a broad scope of services in the injury management and prevention spectrum. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing a patient’s physical abilities and developing an individualized treatment program to maintain, improve or restore physical function, as well as alleviate pain. The physiotherapist will be provided full administrative support for booking and billing private insurance, as well as access to clean and folded linens and laundry services on site.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; administering evaluative tests and procedures, creating individualized programs, selecting appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations, maintaining clinical and progress reports, as well as conferring with other health professionals in the clinic.
