How to Join

Physiotherapists residing in Nova Scotia who are or have been eligible for registration with a Canadian physiotherapy regulatory body can join the Nova Scotia Branch of CPA by completing an application for CPA membership.  Physiotherapy students and physiotherapy support personnel are also welcome to join the Association, at discounted membership rates.

The CPA / NSCPA membership year runs from Oct. 1 to the following September 30.  Membership dues are pro-rated by 50% at April 1 each year, and by an additional 25% at July 1.

New Graduates can join CPA and NSCPA for half price in their first year of membership after graduation if they have been a CPA member for two years as a student (first year of student membership is free).  Additionally, new grads receive 50% off their first year of malpractice insurance premiums, and 25% off their second year of malpractice insurance premiums.

CPA offers a monthly Pre-authorized Payment Plan to members paying both national and provincial fees.  When you sign up for PAPP, you pay up front for malpractice insurance (if required) but your national and provincial dues are spread out over the year in monthly payments.  The cost to join the PAPP is $25/year.

All applications fo rmembership are processed by CPA National Office, and all necessary application forms, guides and fee schedules can be found there.  Click on the box below to be redirected to CPA’s membership pages.
