Courses and Events

  • Upcoming courses and events of interest to physiotherapists in Nova Scotia can be found on this page, ordered by course date.  Please note:  NSPA provides course listings as a service to members, but does not do a quality audit prior to posting.  Inclusion of a course on this page does not constitute an NSPA endorsement of the course.  Members are encouraged to carefully review the trainer's credentials, evidence base and relevancy of courses before registering.

    How to Purchase NSPA Webinars
NSPA launched a webinar series in November 2011.  Webinars are recorded and are available for purchase by members and non-members after the live broadcast.  If you wish to purchase a webinar recording, visit the on-line payments page and scroll down to the links for webinar purchase.  At check-out, indicate in the "Notes to Seller" field which webinar you wish to purchase.  A link to the webinar will be sent to you via e-mail.

    Available Webinars:

Literature Searches for Physiotherapists, presented by Shelley McKibbon, Jan. 27, 2012

Cardiovascular Risk Factor Reduction: Pharmacological Management, presented by Jennifer McPhee, Nov. 18, 2011 (this webinar is avilable FREE to members - login required)

    How to Post a Course
NSPA members and non-profit organizations based in Atlantic Canada can post courses with which they are involved (organizing or delivering) for FREE. The ad includes a web site listing on this events page, as well as inclusion in the Educational Opportunities section of the Branch's monthly e-newsletter (time permitting).

Non-members, for-profit organizations, and organizations outside of Atlantic Canada can participate in our course advertising service for $100.00. This includes a web posting not to exceed three months, and inclusion in the Educational Opportunities section of the Association's monthly e-newsletter (time permitting).

Course listings should include course name, instructor(s) name, dates, location, fees, registration and early bird deadlines, and a brief description of the course. Registration flyers in PDF format can be posted to the web site and included with the e-Newsletter.

Advertising Payment
NSPA reserves the right to require full payment (where applicable) before advertising will go live. We accept payment by cheque or money order (payable to NSPA), or by credit card using PayPal (no PayPal account is necessary). For on-line payment, visit our payments page and scroll down to the link for course payments.
