Position Summary: The physiotherapist works independently, and maintains a flexible schedule. He/she is required to assess, develop & execute appropriate treatment plans for a variety of patient populations. The physiotherapist works within the client’s home and is responsible for their own transportation. Equipment provided. Qualifications/Requirements: Must be a registered physiotherapist within Nova Scotia, with malpractice insurance & CPA membership. Must have 2-3 years experience with the geriatric population, including neurological, cardiorespitory & orthopedic conditions. Orthopedic/manual therapy experience from clinic environment is an asset. Communication skills & the ability to interact with many disciplines are of great importance, as well as sensitivity to the needs of the clients. Cole Harbour Physiotherapy & Rehabilitaion Centre Inc is a small, community oriented private physiotherapy clinic seeking a part-time licensed physiotherapist for two evenings each week (tuesdays and thursdays) with the option of expanding into saturdays if interested. Our clinic has a pleasant atmosphere, with a team work approach. We have a varied, established caseload including MVA, WCB, orthopaedic cases and musculoskeletal injuries of all sorts. Our emphasis is on exercise therapy, muscle balance and re-education. An interest in these areas would be essential. Some experience with Sahrman and /or Kinetic control treatment ideologies would be an asset as would orthopaedic manual therapy courses and acupuncture. Our clinic also offers massage therapy, kinesiology services and custom and non-custom bracing. Remuneration is based on experience.
