Legge Health Clinic is a dynamic health clinic that is focused on providing the best possible therapy to patients using a multidisciplinary approach. Located in Truro, they also operate a clinic at Dalhousie University, Agricultural Campus known as Sports Therapy. The services they offer are chiropractic/orthotics, naturopathic medicine/acupuncture, osteopathy and registered massage therapy, as well as hot yoga. Venor is pleased to partner with Legge Health Clinic as they look to add a Physiotherapist to their diverse team of professionals.

The Physiotherapist will work as part of the team to facilitate treatment and care of patients. They will be the primary practitioner for all Workers’ Compensation Board claims and will perform functional ability tests and establish treatment goals with patients based on physical diagnoses. The ideal candidate will evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and modify them while maintaining communications with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will plan and implement programs of physiotherapy including therapeutic exercise, manipulations, education, the use of electro-therapeutic and other mechanical equipment and maintain clinical and statistical records. You will develop and implement health promotion programs for patients, staff and the community and may provide consulting or educational services.

Physiotherapists may focus their practice in areas such as neurology, rheumatology, orthopedics, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary disorders or sports injuries or in the field of ergonomics.

As the ideal candidate you will have completed your bachelors and/or masters in Physiotherapy and have completed a period of supervised practical training. You are passionate about your work and strive to be at the top of your field. You understand the importance of a holistic approach and want to be a part of a collaborating team. The Physiotherapist is registered with a regulatory body and has completed the Physiotherapy National Exam.
